Design: Total RNA was extracted using RNeasy Plant Mini kit (Qiagen). RNA samples were analyzed using Bioanalyzer (Agilent) to ensure adequate RNA quality and quantity. RNA libraries were prepared using Illumina TruSeq RNA-Seq Sample Prep Kit following manufacturer's instructions. Libraries were pooled, multiplexed and sequenced using the Paired End Clustering protocol with 51x2 cycles.

Transcriptome assemblies from root and shoot tissues (combined) of four accessions: Ganges, La Calamine, Lellingen and Monte Prinzera were sequenced using Illumina Hiseq2000. The assemblies provide important sequence information for further molecular biology studies on metal hyperaccumulation and hypertolerance.
